Michael Harrison

Michael Harrison is a co-founder and the Chairman of Mainstream. He has over 35 years of experience as a business owner, corporate executive, and entrepreneur across financial services and the hospitality industry. Michael was instrumental in the establishment of Mainstream and successfully assisted the business move from a primarily research and development focused operation into a commercial enterprise. As Chairman, Michael has helped create a cohesive high performing board and assisted management through the continued growth of the company, both organically and through acquisition. Michael began his career in 1989 after completing an accounting degree, and was given the opportunity to help build a financial planning business in Melbourne. In 2008, he led this business through a 14-way merger to create Shadforth Financial Group, now part of the listed group, Insignia Financial Ltd. In 2012, Michael co-founded Peloton Partners, a business that uses his practical experience to advise other businesses on growth strategies. This involves investing in some of those businesses allowing Michael to remain involved aligning his passion of working with great people to achieve great outcomes.

Michael has been Chairman of Mainstream since 2001.
